Korn Goes Way Too Far in Kyiv
Famous American nu metal band Korn (KoЯn) has released their latest studio album The Path of Totality. The band is now touring the world in support of their newest album of 11 compositions.
The Path of Totality was released in December 2011, becoming the tenth album in Korn’s 20-year musical career. On April 11th 2012, The Path of Totality won the Album of the Year title at the 2012 Revolver Golden Gods Awards. This was Korn's first ever award at the Golden Gods, the ceremony celebrating best Hard Rock and Heavy Metal music.
The official musical video for the Way Too Far composition can be found on the band’s Web site. The composition is also the longest one in the album, lasting for 8:15 minutes.
The band’s debut self-titled album was released in October 1994, and they have been releasing an album every two years since. Some of the diehard fans of the alternative metal band criticized their idols (starting with their 2002 Untouchables album) for becoming “mainstream” – more rhythmic and melodic, and at that – nearing the pop music formats. The new sounding, however, helped the band win the much larger crowd of followers worldwide.
Currently Korn includes Jonathan Davis, James “Munky” Shaffer, Reginald “Fieldy” Arvizu, and Ray Luzier. The band was originally formed by three of the L.A.P.D. members and two more participants. The two past members of the band are Brian Welch and David Silveria.
