Ukraine Goes Deep Purple Once Again
English rock band Deep Purple will perform in Ukraine this autumn. On November 1, 2012, the band will present their most known hits in a concert at Kyiv’s Palats Sportu. Their previous performance in Ukraine took place on March 25, 2011, as part of their 2006–2011 Rapture of the Deep World Tour.
Formed in 1968, Deep Purple released eighteen studio albums and sold more than 100 million albums worldwide. Ian Gillan (vocals), Roger Glover (bass), Jon Lord (keyboards), Ian Paice (drums), and Ritchie Blackmore (guitar) comprise the second and most commercially successful lineup of Deep Purple.
Deep Purple plays hard rock, heavy metal, blues rock, progressive rock, and psychedelic rock.
Tickets for the show in Kyiv will cost between UAH 350-2,000.

Update. Jon Lord died of cancer on July 16, 2012. The musician had been receiving treatment for pancreatic cancer at a London clinic, report BBC News. "Jon passes from Darkness to Light," read the statement.
