Symphony orchestra Cantabile Orchestra, under the direction of Diana Koval, and the folk choir of the Tarasa Shevchenko National University of Kyiv Dnipro, directed by Iryna Dusheiko, will perform the music from the hit Hollywood production – The Lord of the Rings trilogy (2001 – 2003). Music by Howard Shore will be performed under direction of Nazar Kulyniak.

Since their formation in 1998, Ontario-bred players released seven studio albums – That What People Do, Set It Off, Phenomenon, The Art of Breaking, The Flame In All Of Us, Welcome To The Masquerade, The End Is Where We Begin and one live album – Live at the Masquerade.

Western Ukrainian city of Lviv will host Gymnastics Open on December 8-9, 2012. The rhythmic gymnastics competition has a dreamy title Winter Fairytale to mark the beginning of the holiday season. Top 200 gymnasts from five countries – Bosnia and Herzegovina, Moldova, Poland, Russia, and Ukraine – will arrive for the championship.

Italian music legend Toto Cutugno will perform in Ukraine on December 12, 2012. The singer invited a special guest – known Italian tenor Alessandro Safina. The symphony orchestra directed by Alterisio Paoletti will accompany the show. Besides his most popular songs, Cutugno will perform the pieces, created for and sung by such stars as Adriano Celentano, Dalida, Joe Dassin, Mireille Mathieu, and Ray Charles.

Ultramarine international quartet will give two concerts in Ukraine as a part of the Jazz Bez 2012 jazz festival (December 1-16, 2012). Uliana Horbachevska (vocals), Petras Vysniauskas (soprano saxophone), Mark Tokar (double bass, vocals), and Klaus Kugel (drums, percussion) came together to mix “improvisation, Ukrainian traditional music, profundity, jazz, archaic singing, healing force, rugged beauty, new dimensions” and many more, reads their website.
