May 5, 2012: White Sensation to Come to Ukraine for the Second Time
After a huge success of last year’s production – 12,000 visitors in one night – the world famous dance show Sensation returns to Ukraine on May 5, 2012. The installment is probably most known for its dress code for all the attendees – everyone must wear white.

Western Ukrainian city of Ivano-Frankivs’k celebrates its 350th anniversary on May 7, 2012. Ethno-folk festival Rodoslav will be revived to mark the date.

Black Label Society is a solo project of an American guitar player Zakk Wylde. Wylde became famous for his collaboration with Ozzy Osbourne. As of today the Black Label has released 11 albums.
May 12, 2012: Harmonica Sounds Fill Kyiv
The second international harmonica festival will unfold in Ukraine with a wide variety of styles: blues, electro, rock, rock and roll etc. The best European musicians will play for Kyiv’s audience.
May 12, 2012: Firework Dance in Kyiv
A pyromusical show Firework Dance will take place on May 12, 2012, in Pechersk landscape park Spivoche Pole in Kyiv. Thousands of colorful fireworks will paint the sky, accompanied by the music from various popular feature films. Types of fireworks to be used in the show include: fire rings, volcanos, explosions, firefalls, as well as park, high-rise, and surface fireworks.
May 15, 2012: Apes Invade Kyiv
The German alternative rock band the Guano Apes will bring their newest album to Ukraine’s capital city of Kyiv. Bel Air album was released a little over a year ago by the reunited band. It became Guano Apes’ fourth studio album.
May 19, 2012: Daniel Ricciardo Drives Kyiv Formula 1 Crazy
One of the world’s most known up and coming racing drivers Daniel Ricciardo will arrive to Ukraine to demonstrate his car driving skills. Red Bull Racing team – Formula 1 champion – will join Ricciardo at the track in Kyiv on May 19th. The excitement of the Formula 1 competition will thrill the guests of the racing event in Ukraine’s capital as world’s top racing professionals will drive down the streets of the city.
May 21, 2012: Emir Kusturica, NoSmoking and Ukrainian Fans
Emir Kusturica and The No Smoking Orchestra will bring their unusual musical performance to Ukraine on May 21, 2012. The team combines various modern musical trends – New Primitives, rock, punk and garage rock. Emir Kusturica and The No Smoking Orchestra incorporate elements of free jazz, punk, and rock-n-roll into their music.In the no smoking music one may indicate Turkish marches, Gypsy tunes, South American music, country rhythms, techno-pop loops, the so-called unza unza melodies, the sounds of accordions, balalaikas, saxophone, and bouzoukis.
May 25–26, 2012: Kyiv Nights Catch Fire
The International Kyiv Fire and Circus Festival will take place in Ukraine’s capital on May 25-26, 2012. Kyiv’s Mariyinskyi Park will host the first day of the festival, whereas the main action and the closing gala-show will unfold on the second day at the Spartak Stadium.
May 25, 2012: Franz Harary Casts a Spell on Kyiv
American magician Franz Harary will perform in Ukraine for the first time as he joins the opening of a new residential district in Kyiv – Novopecherski Lypky. Harary will present his show Metamorphosis in Kyiv on May 25th to celebrate the opening of the area which features new high-rise buildings, as well as modern infrastructure.
May 26, 2012: Lviv Hosts Fairytale in a Grove
The motto of the annual festival for children Fairytale in a Grove in 2012 is “Preserve strength and health – and live a fairytale life!”
