Residents and guests of Ukraine’s capital city of Kyiv will celebrate April Fool’s Day by throwing a festival of humor. The festival will take place under the motto Kyiv – the capital of healthy laugh!
April 3, 2012: Renowned Chris Botti Will Play in Kyiv
Largest selling American jazz instrumental artist Chris Botti will give a single concert in Ukraine’s capital on April 3. Botti will now add Kyiv to the list of world capitals of music: Boston & London, Moscow & Paris, Melburn & Koeln, etc.
April 3, 2012: Nino Katamadze and Insight Return to Ukrainian Stage
Georgian jazz diva Nino Katamadze will once again give a concert for her Ukrainian fans. This time the talented soloist and composer will perform on April 3, 2012. As usually, Nino will be accompanied by the Insight band.
April 5, 2012: Italian Zucchero Enchants Kyiv
One of the most outstanding Italian rock’n’blues singers Zucchero brings his world tour Chocabeck Tour 2011 to Ukraine. Besides his most know hits, Adelmo Fornaciari, more known as Zucchero, will perform songs off his newest album Chocabeck (2010). The phenomenal Senza una donna (literal translation of the song title – Without a Woman) singer will treat Ukrainian audience to his melodies influenced by gospel music, rock, and blues.
April 7, 2012: Let’s Make Ukraine Clean Together
The environmental campaign Lets Make Ukraine Clean! 2012 will take place on April 7, 2012 in over 50 Ukrainian cities. Anybody is welcome to participate and make an effort towards making the country cleaner and more aesthetically appealing.
April 16, 2012: Legends of Heavy Metal Judas Priest to Rock Ukraine
The classics of heavy metal from Great Britain Judas Priest will come to Ukraine on their Epitaph final tour. Notably, this will also be the Priest’s first concert in the country.
April 17, 18, 2012: Mikhail Turetskiy Celebrates Anniversary in Concert
Outstanding Russian singer and conductor Mikhail Turetskiy presents a series of concerts dedicated to his 50th birthday. The artist turns 50 on April 12, 2012. His most celebrated artistic creation – the Turetskiy Choir (known as Khor Turetskogo) – will perform at Kyiv’s main concert venue Palats Ukraina on April 17 and 18.
April 18 – June 2, 2012: Modern Ukrainian Sextet Tours the Country
Famous sextet ManSound will present its new program and a new album Acapellissimo at their extensive tour around Ukraine and Russia. Within the next three months ManSound will perform in six Ukrainian and six Russian cities.
April 18, 2012: Julian Tomas Brings Friends to Kyiv
Julian Tomas & Friends will present their new album This Fortress Love in Kyiv’s art club 44 on April 18, 2012. Julian Tomas is a celebrated British vocalist and jazz musician who created the Julian Tomas & Friends band 12 years ago.

April 20, 2012: Bi-2 Comes to Ukraine With a Concert
The Russian rock band Bi-2 (or BDVA) will premiere its new album Spirit. The eighth album of the band features rock, dance, and electro music styles.
April 27–28, 2012: Book Cover Fashion Show to Take Place in Ukraine
Ukrainian designers will participate in Kyiv Publish Fashion Day – an event aimed at bringing attention to books and the art of book decoration. The organizers of the event reckon that books are not only about the contents but about fashionable looks too. It is important to convey the message of the book through its appearance.
