International Postcard Fair to Open in Kyiv
The International Postcard Fair will feature various designs of holiday postcards. The aim of the event is to restore the tradition of hand-written congratulatory correspondence.
The visitors of the fair will have a chance to observe the best designs of holiday postcards and buy the ones they like most. Part of the income obtained at the fair will be given away for charity – to support medical institutions, animal shelters, and so on. The first international postcard contest will take place at the event.
The National Post Office notes that in 1985 the annual postcard turnover equaled 25 tons, while in recent years the postcard turnover did not even reach one ton.
When: December 9-14, 2011
Where: Central Post Office, 22 Khreshchatyk St., Kyiv
