January 28, 2011: Olafur Eliasson, one of the most famous modern artists, is planning to visit Kyiv
Worldknown Scandinavian artist will present his works at Pinchuk Art Center, Kyiv. This exhibition will feature the fullest collection of Eliasson’s works in Eastern Europe.

The International Exhibition KIPS 2011 will feature items for protection, security, and fire safety. The trade show will have four themed sections – technical means of security; CCTV and video surveillance; fire safety and rescue equipment; smart cards, ID-technologies, banking equipment, privacy policy.

For two weeks in spring the Kyiv Pecherskyy landscape park will display 200 thousand different species of prevernal (early spring) flowers: tulips, hyacinths, irises, etc. The exhibits will bloom on the territory of more than two hectares.

Works of the late dark genius of photography Bob Carlos Clarke are exhibited at the Brucie Collections gallery in Kyiv. Clarke became widely famous in 70s’-80’s for his highly stylized erotic imagery.
May 27, 2011: International Book Festival Opens in Kyiv
Kyiv, May 27, 2011. Today the art complex Mystetsky Arsenal in Kyiv hosts the First International Book Festival “Book Arsenal” which will last until June 1, 2011. The festival will feature a book fair with over 100 participants including international publishers, magazines and book stores.

Kyiv, June 2, 2011. KalytaArtKlub presents a new exhibit dedicated to Kyiv city landscapes and culture. The name of the new exhibit is ‘A City in the Framework’, and its first cycle that is currently on the display at the KalytaArtKlub on 6, Bohomolets St. is titled ‘A Disappearing City’.
June 9–26, 2011: Art Exhibition “All-Ukrainian Triennial of Sculpture. Kyiv 2011” to Be Inaugurated at the Central House of Artist
Major professional exhibition All-Ukrainian Triennial of Sculpture opens in Kyiv on June 9, 2011. Over 200 exhibits will be presented to the audiences – tiny medals along with monumental sculptural images made by artists from various regions of Ukraine.
June 23, 2011: Ferrari Enters Ukrainian Market
Kyiv welcomes the first Ferrari dealership in Ukraine, according to representatives of the REDCAR – an official Ferrari importer in Ukraine. The preparatory works on the new dealership lasted for half a year so that it would meet the requirements of the Italian brand. Ferrari Kyiv occupies an impressive area of 380 square meters (approx. 4090 square feet) in downtown area.
August 1 – September 30, 2011: Leo Flower Festival to Open in Western Ukrainian Lviv
The Festival of Street Flower Compositions Leo Flower will begin in Lviv [Western Ukraine – ed.] on Monday, August 1, 2011. This is the first time such a festival takes place in the city with more than a millennia history.
