Ukrainian World Congress to Take Place in Kyiv
The Ukrainian World Congress Annual General Meeting will be held on August 21st, 22nd, and 23rd, 2011, at the Culture and Art Centre of the National University of the “Kyiv-Mohyla Academy” in Kyiv, Ukraine. Over 130 delegates from 26 countries will participate in the meeting.
The Conference of the Human Rights Committee of the Congress will take place on Saturday, August 20, 2011, with the Conference of the Ukrainian World Cooperative Council opening the Ukrainian World Congress on Sunday, August 21, 2011.
The questions of state cooperation with the Ukrainians residing abroad, diaspora youth, and the human rights status in Ukraine will be discussed at the Congress.
The Ukrainian World Congress is an international coordinating body for the Ukrainian communities abroad. The Congress aims to represent the interests of over 20 mln of Ukrainians residing in 32 countries. The Ukrainian World Congress was founded in 1967.
