Middle Age Culture Festival to Take Place in Zakarpattya
International Festival of Medieval Culture will gather knights from Hungary, Slovakia, and Ukraine during a two-day get-together at the Chynadievs’kyi Castle near Mukachevo. Spectacular knights’ group fights, jousts, sword and battle-axe fights will entertain the guests of the festival.
Medieval music and cuisine will help create the atmosphere of the historical event. Participants will wear replicas of authentic clothing, while the visitors of the Festival of Medieval Culture will be encouraged to also put on Middle Age styled-items. Dances, games, workshops and a fair will engage the curious visitor, while shooting ranges will give a chance to try out one’s archery and arbalest skills.
The nights at the medieval festival will be lightened up by the fire show – traditional performance skill during the Middle Ages. If anything, the hypnotizing flashes of fire against the walls of an ancient castle in the dark of night will help tune into the times that are long gone.
