International Hairdressing Festival to Updo Kyiv
11th International Hairdressing Festival Kryshtalevyi Yangol (literal translation – Crystal Angel) will open in Kyiv on April 19, 2012. The festival will focus on hair styling and cutting, and also will cover the issues of fashion and design.
The program of the festival features numerous contests (best fantasy hairstyle, best myth-inspired makeup, best nail design, best braided hairstyle, best modern male haircut, best modern female hairdo, best formal hairstyle, best wedding hair, best body art design, etc.), shows, performances, cat walk events, and even a musical gala performance on the closing night of Kryshtalevyi Yangol.
The third day of the festival – April 21 – will be dedicated to upcoming proms. Young visitors will have an opportunity to get new creative ideas for their Senior Prom. Hairstyles, dresses and makeup presented during the day will fall into two categories – fantasy and retro.
Stylists from France, Latvia, Turkey, and other countries will present their works at Kryshtalevyi Yangol. They will also participate in workshops available for professionals willing to improve their skills in cutting and styling hair. Over 15 newest hairdressing techniques will be revealed to the participants of the workshops. Moreover, workshops will cover Ukrainian hairstyle trends for 2012. Makeup workshops are also on the festival’s program.
