International Journalists Will Compete for a Silver Pen in Southern Ukraine
The X Open International Creative Contest for Journalists Silver Pen will enter its final stage on December 15-17, 2011, when the closing ceremony will take place in the Southern Ukrainian resort city of Sudak. The competition aims to enhance the credibility of journalism in Ukraine and stimulate professional growth of the reporters.
This year journalists from Azerbaijan, Belarus, Germany, Kazakhstan, Russia, the USA, and Ukraine applied for participation in the Silver Pen. The judges are currently working with more than 500 submissions. The items sent for the contest include student sketches, essays, TV movies, photo books, and biographies. The best journalist action, top journalist skill, best newspaper publication, best of the new media, and best publication on the Crimea region will be awarded respective prizes and certificates.
