February 4 – April 1, 2012: Jeff Wall to Lecture and Exhibit in Ukraine
A well-known Canadian photographer Jeff Wall will personally open his exhibition at PinchukArtCentre in Kyiv on February 4, 2012. He will also deliver a lecture on photography at the Taras Shevchenko National University (60 Volodymyrs’ka St., Kyiv) at 4 p.m. During his lecture 65 year old Wall will present his own creations and share the tricks he employs to create his art pieces. The audience will find out the story behind some of the artist’s pictures, as well as his artistic strategy as a whole.
February 10, 2012: Prime Minister of Ukraine Gives Public Lecture at the University of Latvia
The Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov will present a public lecture at the University of Latvia during his official visit to the country. The Ukrainian official will discuss 20 years of diplomatic relations between Ukraine and Latvia, as well as the integration of Ukraine into the European Union. The students and representatives of the media will have a chance to ask questions.

February 15–18, 2012: Ukraine’s Largest Fashion Forum to Open in Kyiv
The 22nd International Fashion Festival Kyiv Fashion will take place in Kyiv on February 15-18, 2012. The festival is the only industry platform in Ukraine that features the full range of products produced by the companies working in the industry. The festival gathers participants from Belarus, Belgium, China, France, Germany, Italy, Latvia, the Netherlands, Poland, Spain, Turkey, the USA.
February 15–17, 2012: International Longevity Forum to Promote Healthy Nation in Ukraine
The International Forum on Health, Beauty, and Longevity Healthy Nation will take place in Kyiv on February 15-17, 2012. Presentations of various goods and services for healthy lifestyle will unfold at the event. Eleven ministries of the Ukrainian government will assist in the preparations of the Forum.
February 16–19, 2012: Mulled Wine Festival Comes to Kyiv for the Second Time
The festival will open at 7 p.m. on February 16, 2012, at wine boutique Paradis du Vin. Ukrainian showbiz stars will visit the opening of the festival to share their own mulled wine recipes, as well as secrets for making grog, sangria, glogg, and punch. The jury will evaluate the drinks made by the celebrities and give out prizes.
February 17–19, 2012: Taste the Love Potion at Wine Festival in Western Ukraine
The annual International Wine Festival in western Ukrainian town of Beregiv will begin at 9 a.m. on February 17, 2012. During the three-day event the guests will get a chance to try out the magic of the love potion – the organizers promise to continue the established tradition of offering the magical drink at the festival.
February 28, 2012: Join the Talk on Ukrainian Football, Finance and National Identity at the Ukrainian Institute in London
Yuri Bender will present an address titled Ukrainian Football, Finance and National Identity on February 28, 2012, in London. The speech will examine latest Euro 2012 developments – whether Ukraine is ready to host the event. Yuri Bender will also provide an inside view on the current state of football in Ukraine. He will speak of the national identity of Ukrainians today.
February 29, 2012: Ukraine Joins World Poetry Readings
Ukraine will join 131 countries in the global celebration of poetry. World Poetry Movement organizes the holiday in order to promote the art of rhythmic writing around the world. Ukrainian poets will gather in various venues in three cities of Ukraine in order to talk about and share views on modern poetry, enjoy artistic performances by musical teams, and, of course, recite their own poems.
