The Ukrainian British City Club presents a Ukrainian Christmas Reception in London on January 17, 2012. The event will feature festive greetings from the Embassy of Ukraine, a special address from Ukraine Charity (London based charitable NGO), traditional Ukrainian Christmas cuisine, live performance of Ukrainian Christmas carols, and a Christmas raffle.

Join Ukraine’s National Unity Day CelebrationsOn January 22, 1919, the Ukrainian People’s Republic and West Ukrainian People’s Republic declared their merger in order to create a unified Ukrainian state. To celebrate the unity of Ukraine participants of the celebration at Kyiv’s Paton Bridge will create a human chain connecting the two banks of the Dnipro river – the right bank to the left one.

Salo Festival in PoltavaTraditional celebration of popular in Ukraine food – lard, or salo – will take place in eastern Ukrainian city of Poltava. Numerous producers of salo and meat will present their goods to the visitors of the festival. Everyone in attendance will have an opportunity to taste and buy some of the best local products – both raw and ready-to-eat.
