June 16–18, 2011: “European Neuropathology School” Starts Mid-June in Lviv
European neuropathology specialists will gather in Lviv to discuss four major issues in current neuropathology: movement disorders, diagnosing, treatment and rehabilitation of patients with acute cerebral circulation issues, spinal cord lesions, emergency treatment and differential diagnosis of epilepsy.
August 21–23, 2011: Ukrainian World Congress to Take Place in Kyiv
The Ukrainian World Congress Annual General Meeting will be held on August 21st, 22nd, and 23rd, 2011, at the Culture and Art Centre of the National University of the “Kyiv-Mohyla Academy” in Kyiv, Ukraine. Over 130 delegates from 26 countries will participate in the meeting.

The first joint UK – Ukraine Summer School on Solar Physics and Space Science will open in the South Ukrainian town of Alushta in Crimea on August 29, 2011. The summer school is organized by the Solar Wave Theory Group (SWAT), University of Sheffield, UK, and the Space Plasma Department, Institute of Space Research, Ukraine.
September 6–10, 2011: Ninth International Art – Science Symposium Opens in Southern Ukraine
The 9th International Art – Science Symposium Voloshyns’kyi Veresen’ will begin in the Southern Ukrainian village of Koktebel on September 6, 2011. The symposium is one of the biggest cultural events among the members of the Commonwealth of Independent States. The major focus of the forum is literature.
September 14–18, 2011: 18th International Book Forum to Take Place in Lviv in the Fall
The 18th International Book Forum will be held on September 14-18, 2011 in the Western Ukrainian city of Lviv. This year’s Forum is dedicated to two remarkable dates in the Ukrainian literary history: the 500th anniversary of Ivan Fedorovych [or Ivan Fedorov – ed.] - the very first Russian and Ukrainian publisher; the other occasion is the celebration of 200 years since the birth of Markiyan Shashkevych - a famous Ukrainian poet and writer as well as the leader of the literary vernacular revival in Western Ukraine.
September 15–18, 2011: Yalta European Strategy Takes Place in Southern Ukraine
The 8th Yalta Annual Meeting “Ukraine and the World: Common Challenges, Common Future” will take place in the South Ukrainian Black Sea resort Yalta on September 15-18, 2011. Over 200 politicians, businessmen, public figures, and community leaders from over 20 countries will participate in the meeting.
September 15–16, 2011: Medical Conference on Gastroenterology and Abdominal Surgery to Take Place in Kyiv
The Medical Conference on Gastroenterology and Abdominal Surgery will commence in Kyiv on September 15, 2011. The Conference aims to address a variety of medical dilemmas. The First International Conference on Application and Properties of Nanomaterials will open in Crimea’s Alushta on September 27, 2011.
