Kateryna Spasytel – the coach of the pair Gorshenin – Krivko – commented on the multiple win of her students: “This is the fourth time they compete in this competition”. She explained that at Blackpool teen dancers were expected to avoid copying dance moves of adults and bring youthful spirit to each particular type of dance.

The Blackpool Dance Festival has a well-established tradition of holding competitions among dancers in various dance styles. The festival first took place in 1920 at the Empress Ballroom in the Winter Gardens at Blackpool, North West England.

The dance festival in Blackpool belongs to WDC World Series 2012. Ukraine hosted the WDC World Super Series Professional Latin and Ballroom competitions in January of 2012, while the UK, Japan, Macau, Russia, Germany, and the USA are the countries organizing other events of the WDC World Series in the c.y.
