Chornobyl Site Will Be Included into the Official Euro 2012 Tour Program

The exclusion zone of Chornobyl nuclear power plant can be included into the official tour program of Euro 2012 in Ukraine. This was announced today by the Deputy Minister of Emergency Situations Vitaliy But, during a signing ceremony of a joint action plan for EURO 2012 between the Ministries of Emergency of Ukraine and Poland.

World Famous Artists Gather in Kyiv

Kyiv, Ukraine’s capital city, welcomed the representatives of the international art establishment, who served as jurors, trustees, and patrons of the Future Generation Art Prize. The delegation featured artists Andreas Gursky, Damien Hirst, Jeff Koons, Takashi Murakami, Italian fashion designer Miuccia Prada and her husband Patrizio Bertelli, along with the directors of European museums and art halls.

Save a Dolphin – Grant It Citizenship

Volodymyr Boreiko, a Ukrainian ecologist, came up with an idea to grant citizenship to dolphins. According to him, this will prevent the dolphins from extinction, largely caused by the brutal behavior of humans. This conviction impelled Boreiko to address the President of Ukraine. Also, the Ukrainian ecologist plans to raise the issue internationally.

27th Ukrainian Fashion Week: a Spicy Treat for European Fashionistas

During October 14-19, 2010, the 27th Ukrainian Fashion Week took place in Kyiv. The show, gathering hordes of Ukrainian and foreign fashion experts and visited by almost 30 000 guests, featured the presentation of 44 prêt-a-porter collections, including those of Victoria Gres, Nota Bene & Karavay, Andre Tan, Zalevskiy, Zinaida Likhacheva, and others. Among the special guests of this year’s show were the President of the National Chamber of Italian Fashion Mario Bozelli, the founder of the company Global Fashion Management Ronald Denis and the renowned French couturier Stephane Rolland. The show was broadcasted on the World Fashion Channel.
