Ukraine Welcomes European Cultural Week 
Kyiv, May 21, 2013. For the 11th time European Cultural Week opened its door in Ukraine. More than a dozen European countries participated in the public event sharing their culture through exhibitions, concerts and shows that took place in Kyiv and some other Ukrainian cities.

EU Countries Show Interest in Ukraine’s Gas Transportation SystemKyiv, April 18, 2013. Poland, Hungary, Italy, Germany and other European states are currently negotiating the use of Ukraine’s underground gas storage facilities. This was announced by Ukraine’s Minister of Energy and Coal Eduard Stavytskyi at a press conference in Kyiv. According to the minister, Poland, for instance, considers using gas storage facilities to be able to control the prices on the domestic natural gas market.

Ukrainian Reporter Wins Eastern Partnership Journalism AwardKyiv, December 4, 2012. Ukrainian journalist Kristina Berdynskych became the winner of the Reporters for Reporters competition for journalists from the Eastern Partnership countries (EaP). Berdynskych, a reporter from Ukrainian Korrespondent weekly, was awarded for her story on the country’s officials who became millionaires, yet, notwithstanding their wealth, claim welfare and health benefits from the state.
